Redruth Meadery is a candle-lit medieval eating hall complete with drapes, shields and lances – along with waiting staff in period costume – creating an atmosphere and experience that is both relaxed and exciting.

At the Meadery, we pledge to take you back to a time when a trip to a restaurant meant proper British food served with decent portions. We take pride in that the best locally-sourced ingredients are cooked fresh on the premises to produce a menu that has plenty of choice for the whole family. We have vegetarians & vegans options available on the menu. And can cater to most dietary  requirements if advised in advance.

Our famous Chicken in the Rough is sure the fill the hollows of any seasoned traveller, presenting delicious, crispy chicken on a wooden platter to be pulled apart by the fingers. The self-service salad bar allows diners to put on their plates what they want to eat, and not what they are given. 

Redruth Meadery is a true family restaurant, where children will delight in the swashbuckling medieval décor harking back to the days of knights in shining armour. We provide high chairs, colouring books, pens and a baby changing facility & have children’s set menus for under 10’s or smaller adult portions for the older children.

We invite parties – no matter how big or small – to savour the party atmosphere and prompt service that makes for a great night out. There is no dress code for Redruth Meadery, if you want to come straight from the beach, dress to impress for parties, or en route to the club, or even fancy dress to enjoy the medieval candle lit ambiance.

Redruth Meadery is also ideal parties of people on group activity holidays who will enjoy reasonably priced, casual communal dining on long refectory tables, with a fun atmosphere.
