Margate Museum

Margate
Originally a Town Hall with police cells and Magistrate’s Court, Margate Museum houses a unique collection of Margate history, ranging from Iron Age remains to the Mods and Rockers skirmishes of the 60’s.

Walk Through History via rooms dedicated to the seaside, maritime history, World War I and World War II. Take a look at seaside donkeys - perhaps even pat one! What did an air raid siren look like? Stand in a witness box. Sit in a magistrate’s chair. Exhibitions change regularly which gives even more reason to make a second visit.
