The Hop and Vine is a quaint basement bar close to both theatres and Queen’s Gardens and just a stone’s throw from the city shops. Just 5 minutes walk from the public transport interchange. We are in the perfect position for pre-theatre or pre-match drinks.

Friendly and welcoming, we specialise in real ales and ciders, also stocking a good choice of spirits and wines. Bar snacks such as cheese and biscuits, pork pies and scotch eggs are usually available, with a cheese festival at least once a year. Board games available on request and first Sunday of the month is games night. Open Tuesday-Saturday, 1st Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays. We look forward to meeting you.
