Lakeside – the perfect base for getting out & about – fascinating, famous, beautiful, bustling, tranquil, there’s really so much to see and do either literally on the doorstep or an easy day trip by car.

From exploring the secrets of Somerset’s beautiful coastline that starts a few minutes’ walk away with the famous 7 mile beach stretching to historic Brean Down, perhaps  take the cycle path to Weston-Super-Mare with its fantastic multi-million pound New Pier, or just pottering along at your own pace around the unspoilt countryside, taking in the renown Somerset Levels, maybe stopping off at Wells (England’s smallest city), marvel at Cheddar Gorge, be charmed by the Mendip or Quantock Hills with their pretty villages hidden away and discover some great pubs just waiting to refresh weary travellers as well! You could of course, simply stay on park and relax during the day and sit looking out over the peaceful tree-lined fishing lake, or simply wind down in one of our holiday home from home caravans and catch up on your reading, then enjoy the evenings over a glass or two and something to eat in The Boathouse.
