Shuffle Board Game Café
Bury St Edmunds
Shuffle is a Board Game Cafe, located within the heart of Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk. As well as being a cafe/bar, Shuffle also has over 430 board games for customers to play! They’re Suffolk’s first independent board games cafe.
The Shuffle team take great pride in their encyclopaedic knowledge of board games, and the welcoming atmosphere. They’ve curated their library of games to ensure there’s an option on their shelves to cater for every taste. Looking for something light and silly? Deep-thinking, multi-layered, and strategic? A co-operative challenge where you work together as a team? An escape-room-in-a-box? Or a dexterity contest that blows Jenga out of the water? Shuffle have the game for you!
A staff member will get you seated, and then find out your group’s tastes and experience of tabletop games. The team strive to tailor a gaming experience that’s perfect for your group and situation. They’ll even offer to set the game up for you and teach the rules, so you don’t have to worry about reading rulebooks.
The menu boasts a range of delicious paninis, salads, cakes, snacks, hot drinks, smoothies and bottled drinks. With lagers, craft beers, cider, wine, and cocktails, their wide range of drinks compliment your gaming session.
Shuffle works on a Table Time system. It’s an hourly rate per person, starting at £3 per person, per hour. (It’s only £1 per person per hour for under-tens.) The cafe also sells over 50 games too, all being available to play in the library. It means you can try before you buy!
As well as a fun place to come with friends and family, Shuffle also has a range of Events across the week. This allows people to meet like-minded people and make new friends to play games with! We offer Events catered towards tabletop role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons. There's also a collectable card game day for Magic: The Gathering, and Yu-Gi-Oh. The cafe also offers options for birthday parties and business functions (such as team-building activities).
Shuffle is a two-minute walk away from Bury’s bus station. It's a ten-minute walk from the train station, and a one-minute walk from The Arc car park.
